Din Tai Fung Experience and Recommendations for the New Location at the Disneyland Resort! About two years after its first announcement, the popular Taiwanese restaurant has finally opened for previews in Downtown Disney! Note that this experience was mostly HOSTED; I’ll discuss this more at the end. 🥢 What’s the hype with Din Tai Fung? The brand has locations all around the world and is popular for its family-style soup dumplings and noodles. Friendly and welcoming staff bring you a variety of flavors, usually served in bamboo baskets (Xiao Long Bao means “little dumpling in a basket”). At the Disneyland Resort, the main dining space has large windows looking out on the new midcentury modern entrance of Downtown Disney. 🔥 My three favorite items were the Chicken Spicy Wontons, Pork Xiao Long Bao, and Bok Choy with Scallion-Infused Oil. The spice level was moderate but very flavorful. You may see a limited menu until the restaurant fully opens in July. Unfortunately, there weren’t any exclusive items specific to Disneyland. 🍜 I booked a reservation through Yelp and attended before the official soft opening on June 24. I didn’t realize this, but the meal was complimentary for guests visiting that day. We had to pay for the drinks, and of course, we also tipped. It appears that there won’t be a Magic Key discount offered. Overall, it was a fantastic experience with tasty food, amazing service, and a great atmosphere for dates, birthdays, and other celebrations! 🌟 I’m dining at all of the Disneyland restaurants, so fllowme for more recommendations! #disneylandfood #dintaifung #downtowndisney #laeats
