If you have the time, I would love for you to watch this small portion of Apollo and I’s amazing adventure together. It was incredibly hard to cram nearly 4 months of time together into less than 10 minutes. Apollo is my first mustang. I have trained domestic horses, but never a horse as distrusting and nervous as a wild mustang. Apollo taught me just as much as I taught him. I taught him to trust, to love, to be gentle & he taught me to trust, to embrace challenges and to be patient. There were days where I felt as though I was the best trainer ever! And then there were days I felt entirely incapable… But when I look back, I don’t remember the things that he didn’t do right or the things I handled wrong. I remember the feeling of touching him for the first time. I remember the feeling of removing his number tag. I remember our first ride. I remember our first show. I remember the first time he trusted me enough to cuddle and nap with him in the warm sun. When I look back at these past 4 months, I feel the most overwhelming sense of joy. I am so proud of this little palomino. He trusted me when he had no obligation to, and I believe he grew to love me, just as I grew to love him. My heart breaks a little every time I realize I won’t have him forever. However, I know that because of our journey together, he will now go on to live his best life with someone who will cherish him, just as I did in our short time together. Apollo changed my life, just as I did his, and I will forever love him. To whoever gets to take this guy home, please give him all the love he deserves (he deserves it all) and keep in touch!! I truly love Apollo, and if you ever have any questions or need some help with him, I would gladly do so. I also ask that you have patience with him. He will need time to adjust to his new family and new home. But I have no doubt he will adapt quickly. Thank you Apollo, this has been the best experience I’ve ever had. I will forever love and remember this amazing yellow mustang. #mustang #fyp #horse #Love #viral

What did early social housing look like when it was built directly by a local authority? This is the Latchmere Estate in Battersea, South West London. It was completed in 1903 by Battersea Borough Council a time when improving the lives of working people was a driving force in local politics. Uniquely, it was the first development of its kind built by labourers directly employed by a council, and it stands as a rare example today when most new homes are delivered by external contractors. Featuring 315 homes and a central park, it was created on allotments formerly part of Latchmere Common bordering Latchmere Road Baths. The homes were the result of a design competition which attracted 58 entries, and featured electric lighting, combined ranges, baths, and sculleries which were all considered luxuries. The street names -- such as Freedom and Reform – reflect the area’s political history. Today the estate borders a newer leisure centre from 1983 but otherwise retains much of its original charm more than 120 years on. #socialhousing #architecture #london #battersea #latchmere
