Well when I was stationed in Germany the locals didn’t use dryers they hung their clothes out to dry

No it's not cheaper. When I lived in yger in the 70s, I was a solder, and I bought a Wasser. We had a Baby and in two ears it paid for itself 3 times over and ai sold it for what I paid for it

you do not always buy your own dryer and washingmaschine when you are renting. there are Apartment buildings where they share the Maschine and you pay
