kilgrave is a complicated person but the things he went through made him choose to define himself because of how he was raised but instead of choosing to be better than his parents and to change the world with his abilities he chose to cause more hurt and pain the hostage scene with the family proved he basically has 0 empathy for other and remorse he was annoyed with being a hero along with the annoyance he got from making the man not off himself he hated he saved them i still feel bad for the young version of him
