Torque converter went out on my 14 Chevy and the guy put a new billet torque converter in and bypassed that valve and it should last a lot longer now

Bypass the thermostat. Re program the TCM. TCC apply in 3,4,5 gears only above 219mph. 0% slip in 6th. Trans will last forever.

A new one doesn’t mean it’s any good these days. Just bypass the bypass valve. Problem solved.

this part is on long term back order. best action is to flip the pill in it or replace it with an aftermarket OPEN valve. makes trans run much cooler

that should have a recall on it I got couple of friends that have had all kinds of trouble with those 6L transmissions
