It would do exactly 1d6 + mod. You don't get to have physics for the spear, but not for the villagers.

ok by DND rules yes this works by any sane DM ruling no this is a very old thing called the peasant cannon aka peasant rail gun. baned at most tables

but It would be 6 seconds for each passing of spear. each turn is 6 seconds. so it would be 6000 seconds for 5000 feet.

I like to think the actual way this plays out, is that as it begins move quicker, it just starts obliterating the villagers and never reaches the end

Impossible, it’s velocity is limited by the speed each village can pass it to the next, it would do no more damage thah If the last person through it.

in theory i suppose the logic maths kinda well , until you realize it would still only be thrown as fast and as hard as the villager's strength with no proficiency.

either your using the game rules and the last person throws for normal damage or several vilagers are dying in the attempt to grab something that fast
