My grandparents call their doctors by their first name. I think it’s a generational thing. I suggest correcting them when they don’t use your title.

I worked with an ER doc who have the same issue. It bugged her so much. I get it. Correct them.

Very different here in Scandinavia. We all use first name for doctors, professors etc. Not to be disrespectful, it’s just not common here

If they address ALL doctors by their first name, it wouldn't be as big of a deal. However, you earned the title of DOCTOR. Correct them.

I have them call me by my first name. I’m 6’8 but no one can pronounce my last name. I also don’t like being called doctor 😂
