The vast majority of people being detained are have NO criminal record. This is not “the worst of the worst.” People are getting arrested by masked armed men in hoodies at green card check ins, at courthouses, in school drop off lines, in grocery stores, and at work. Even American citizens are being arrested and detained — and worse - we’ve all seen the videos. There has been ZERO accountability. Look at Minneapolis. Thank you to the brave communities there who shed a bright light on the Administration’s authoritarian, inhumane tactics, and showing us what community compassion looks like. Believe your eyes. We can start all over. Say the words. Speak up. We need absolute moral clarity right now. 202-224-3121 is the Congressional switchboard. Keep calling.
