GETTING YOUR FOOD SHOP RIGHT👇 Follow for more fitness tips Your food shop can make or break your week - poor organisation & a lack of the right produce will likely leave you stuck in the cycle of lunch time meal deals & takeaways. Getting your food shop right is a) cheaper and b) means you’ll hit your goals 10x quicker. Here’s what a typical food shop for me looks like (minus the condiments & other dry produce we already have in our cupboards). *disclaimer* not everything needs to be HIGH PROTEIN versions. Stick to your whole protein sources (I.e meat) as much as you can - there’s alot of ‘protein snacks’ that are not worth it when you take a look at the whole macro picture. 🥦🥑fruit & veg - this is where you’ll get VOLUME. So make sure you have plenty. Aim for 5 servings a day. 🍗 protein - protein is important for the growth and repair of muscles. But it’s also the most thermogenic of the macronutrients and therefore you burn more calories to digest it. Make sure you have 30-50g a meal. 🐮 dairy - important to include in your diet for bone health. Greek yogurt is also a protein source and is incredible for my evening dessert bowl. Eat lean cheese is a great cheese alternative for some reduced fat too. I always have protein yogurts in the fridge too - but prefer the pouch options for on the go and they didn’t have any (cry) 🍞 Carbs - contrary to popular belief, carbs won’t make you fat. Carbs are broken down into glucose which is then stored as glycogen in our body - which is the preferred source of energy. More energy = more output in your workouts. 💦 water - I aim to consumer 3L of water a day. The Manchester water is NOT good, so we have been buying bottled (but this is not essential if you live somewhere that doesnt have rotting pipework) Hope you enjoyed this insight and that it was helpful!⚡️ #foodshop #foodshoppinghaul #foodshopping #highproteinfoods #highprotein #protein #gymgirl #GymTok #fatloss
