@eatingwithkirby: A bunch of you asked about my EMS experience at @bodypulse so here you go! 💪🏻⚡️ I first saw it on the Kardashian show and I thought EMS (electrical muscle stimulation) was a really interesting and cool concept! 😆 Essentially the machine sends electric pulses through your body to help you strengthen your muscles or rehabilitate injuries. In the short 20 minute work out, I was sore enough the next day where I know it would normally take me 45 mins of vigorous exercise to achieve 🙈 After doing 10 sessions, I think this is best for people who have really busy schedules or have an injury they need help with. Many people I met who have been doing EMS for a while have had hip or other injuries in the past and they said doing this consistently has helped them a lot 👍🏻 PRO TIPS: 🌟 You should not drink caffeine before the EMS workout or alcohol the day before (it dehydrates you and the electric current will feel strong/ more painful LOL) so FYI!! 🌟 I didn’t see minor results till between the 5th - 10th session so know that results are not instantaneous 🌟 You also should not do a hard workout the day before EMS cause if you’re sore, it’ll be tough to do the moves and get the full results 🌟 @bodypulse only has 2 locations right now - West Van and Kits #ems #emstraining #electricalmusclestimulation #workoutmotivation
