There is a tsb for this exact concern says to renew cam chain and both cam phasers. This repair gets done inside the vehicle no need to remove engine.

😂Just finished one up Friday for the exact same issue. Found the broken piece when I took off timing cover. Jumped quite a bit. Need 5 special tool😁

I work at Land Rover and I would have done timing chain replacement without pulling engine lol

There’s a TSB on those plungers letting loose, and first thing to do is inspect it for them, if they’re not there inspect engine for damage. 1

At my dealer this is a common fix, we do it all in the car, we replace the cam gears and chain but no whole engines

GUYS !!!!!!! I owned a 2012 evoque . same issue replaced whole timing chain assembly. couple months later valves are gunked up due to a bad pvc.
