Replying to @Jane If you find that it’s easier to focus on the negative, *this is not your fault*. Your brain is trying to protect you through this negativity bias in the hopes that you’ll avoid threats. The problem is that our lifestyles have evolved faster than our brains, and so now this negativity bias is causing unnecessary stress in our modern life about things that are not actual physical threats to our survival. (AKA going into fight or flight response when you receive an email) The key to getting out of this bias is to really start putting your focus attention on the moments where things are going your way. What we focus on is amplified in our minds and teaches the brain what is worth noticing. The more you do this, the more you will notice more of the good, which will balance out that bias and help you view your life more evenly and rationally. If you want to learn more about how to train your brain to get out of that bias, and really start liking more of your life, I’m a brain training specialist and a Hypnosis practitioner and I am hosting a six week masterclass called ✨hypnotic empowerment ✨ that combines brain training and hypnosis tools to help you reduce your stress, build your confidence, reduce negative self talk, and really bring you out of that negativity bias so that you feel better in more moments of your life! The next cohort will be from January 6 through February 10 and you can learn more and get all of the info at the 🔗 at the top of my page! #psychologyfacts #MentalHealth #emilieleyes #braintraining #mindset #positivemindset #positivepsychology #mindsetshift #selfhealing #neuroplasticity
