I feel like George C Scott is the best portrayal of Scrooge. He actually makes you feel bad for the character where others don't really have that.

The best version, and It’s a horror movie. I’m surprised you didn’t mention that. The tones, angles and camera zooms are all horror. When you watch it with that in mind you see so many horror elements!
