Visiting the citadel during Friday prayer was such an amazing experience! You cannot go inside during the prayer but can be on the citadel grounds.

I recommend old Cairo where you can see historical mosques and Khan Khalili which is a place to buy antiques and stay in local cafes

SoI by 14 days in Egypt and 4 days in Cairo and it is quite a beautiful city with plenty of beautiful buildings and sites
