1500 gold is equivalent to roughly 150,000 US. so that may work once or twice in very specific towns but most smiths don't have that kind of money?

Doesn’t plate armor need to be basically molded to the user? Like generic set looks nice but is basically huge paper weight.

most pieces of plate armor is custom pieces so the stores might keep 1 or 2 in stock but not enough to destabilize an economy

most towns wont have the wealth to buy more than 1 set, if that. and they aren't obligated to buy what you're selling

I would love it as a GM. The character can buy the raw material and than find out, most people are not able to buy the plate armor and want 1/2

Fabricate and creation allows you to make infinite gold by making the resources and then using tht resources as spell material to make it permanent
