@yvonneljiew: Edison pearls were created using technology by the Zhan family who had been in the pearl business for over 40 years. Edison pearls namesd after Thomas Edison because he had once started that there were two things he could not make in his laboratory and that were "Diamonds and Pearls". Edison pearls are also more expensive to produce than normal freshwater pearls because they are nucleated the same way as a South Sea pearl with only one pearl per mollusc. The freshwater pearls by comparison are seeded in multiples in the one mollusc. Edison pearls come in all colors but some colors are rarer than others.
