Whether you’re at home or visiting scenic places like Chacahua it’s important to consider your impact. Supporting local venders and businesses like Doña Licha’s Restaurante y Cabañas Isahmar directly contributes to the local economy and helps the community preserve what you both love about it’s culture. When creating the Afro-Mexico Experience tour it was priority to me to 1) Confirm if the community truly had a desire for tourist to visit and 2)To ensure the community directly benefited from the tour. I’m happy to say 100% of the businesses we work with are local to the area with a 90% of the owners being of Afro or Indigenous descent.
