When my dad would ask about his brother, Who had passed 30 years prior, I never reminded him that he had passed. "yes, your right dad, maybe we will see him this week"... then the topic changed.

My mother in law would do that all the time. We just told her they were fine and maybe we’d go see them tomorrow. She would move on.

Aww, I’m sorry. I worked in a nursing facility I. The Alzheimer’s, Dementia ward and in their bad days it was heart wrenching but in their good days I heard such wonderful stories of their past.
