Would drilling and tapping it and with a zirc fitting be a possibility? Maybe just dipping the end in penetrating oil? Bad engineering.

i have a vibrant that in my '98 Yukon that starts at 40 miles an hour and only does it at 1,000 RPM if I floor it or let go it goes away

Question- could you drill and tap all the ujoints and in stall a grease fitting ?

Drill and tap the caps for a zerk fitting. Then you could grease up the needle bearings. I would try that before replacing the hole driveshaft.
