I did my whole thesis on PTO laws. The US is the ONLY country out of 196 that doesn't legally guarantee sick, parental, and vacation PTO

My favorite is when your sick days and vacation days are tied together so when I was almost dying and finally went to the hospital no vacay that year.

I work for a French company. They are extremely generous with vacation time, PTO and sick time… and my French colleagues do take either all of July or August off for holiday. It is the best company
