our centre doesn't allow phones in the rooms! we instead have 2 ipads in each room so we can document photos, nappy changes, food and sleep etc!

As a teacher I use my phone all the time. To take the role, take photos, connect to internet, search things, on duty for emergencies

childcare educators have never been allowed to take personal items including phones into the rooms anyway? maybe this is more aimed at family daycares

They take photos for the app so parents can see what there kids do doing the day , and they get permission from the parents

Is this not normal? In the 4 daycares my kids have been in. Staff were never allowed to use their personal phones while with kids
