@charles_dowding: With no dig the soil is not disturbed. It's actually never bare, is always covered with the compost mulch that we put on all beds every year, plus a little woodchip for paths. These mulches are food for soil organisms, as is the lush green mustard Sinapis Alba, which I'm using as a cover crop which will be killed by frost. Keep soil covered it can be compost, it can be plants. 🌱 #soil #wintergardening #nodig #fyp #foryoupage #nodiggardening
Love this. We're really into regen farming amd I apply those principals to my gardening. We never cultivate the soil.

Hello. Great videos, so thank you. I’m a sheep farmer, have you ever used sheep wool as a cover for anything?

Covering the soil makes it healthier and prevents soil erosion.

how can I stop cats using my soil in my raised beds as toilets? I had originally wanted to plant veg in them but can't because of cats. I've tried everything from plants, egg shells, cat spray, sticks

Soil quality is key. If your soil is healthy, it's less of an issue leaving the bed bare for short periods of time.
