Jen Stewart :
How often does a jury get to walk a crime scene? I was a juror on a murder trial and was asked to stay away from the places mentioned in the trial.

I hope that they do one of those videos similar to what new houses have online that is a 3d “walk through” at the least

Even if the jurors can’t walk through they should leave it Incase the lawyers should need to go back and fact check. But it shouldn’t be taken down.

And a big chance the jury won’t be going to the home or if they do it turn bad and they find him NOT guilty and it can take years before a trial date

Especially with the CSI Effect with jurors today, many feel they are subject matter experts and it might hinder a verdict even if it shouldn’t.

It is unfathomable that it be demolished before a jury can walk through

They literally tried to get rid of it like a month or two after! They’re so anxious to get rid of it and it’s weird.

I agree 100% and I also agree the house needs to be demolished but it needs to wait.

it needs to stay, once it's gone it GONE. what if they do, & then THATS the only thing that give the jury reasonable doubt?!

It's so odd how quickly they're trying to tear it down.

The familes should have the ultimate say… if they don’t want it down yet then that’s enough.

I can’t understand why they want it demolished before the murder is convicted. It’s a GIANT piece of evidence and those babies need justice.

Why was the house given to the University of Idaho? That’s weird

I've heard comments that the layout of the home would be hard to recreate. it needs to be a physical viewing not digital

@Casey - Psyc & Soc Instructor posted a good video about this. The home is not in its original state anymore. It hasn’t been for a long time.

I don’t get this. Why are they so eager to tear it down?

Do you think the university is struggling with application rates or reenrollment post murder, and by demolishing the home it can “save face” like do you think it’s a money/tuition thing?

The walk through wouldn’t be the same tho without all the furniture if they were going from noise perspective

That's sketchy that they won't wait.
