Podium spot for all 7 of the majors in the non-binary division ALSO secured 🥇 KEEPING THE STREAK ALIVE ACROSS THE GLOBE ⚡️🌏 It’s moments like this that make me pause in complete awe and gratitude. Yesterday was an absolute dream. I can’t remember the last time I was this HAPPY racing a marathon—completely overtaken by the beauty of Sydney and my pre-race reframe that the course wasn’t ~hilly~ but ~variable~ (except the substantial amount of out and backs and hairpins) !! I found myself smiling and laughing more than in any other major. How beautiful it is to travel the world and do what I love as my most true self. I sat on the concrete just before the start and walked myself through a meditation centering love, appreciation, forgiveness, visualization, and ultimately the realization that everything happens how the universe intends it to—that there’s a bigger plan and that we are all inexplicably connected in ways we can’t even begin to understand. It was then that it truly set in: I am traveling the world modeling the possibility of a life full of authenticity, compassion, dedication, and connection. I want to wake up this energy on every single continent. In every single corner of the world. We all deserve to be ourselves and we can all afford to lead with more love. I was off to the races. Sooo happy I decided to run with a hand bottle full of GU Roctane for the first half. I felt confident and efficient and was even on pace for a PR through the first half. The second half of the race was substantially harder and hillier, but I was enjoying myself for the vast majority of the first 23 miles.
