I'm avoiding those types of collars for the same reason... my dogs wrestle.

Somebody send the Turkish Kangal puppy from that family to this beautiful owner who knows what she’s getting herself into & is experienced!! They already have a prong collar on the puppy 😩

Rebecca @ True North Guardians :
To be clear: I am not questioning the historic use of spiked collars. But I think careful evaluation of one’s situation is important before adding any tool.

that spiked collar is absolutely beautiful- but I can absolutely see where you wouldn't want to use it.

I've always wondered how dogs with spiked collars lay down or rest comfortably

They just did a reintro program of wolves to CO; would these dogs deter wolves from farmers livestock? Just curious I’m not a farmer but I know-

I wouldn't be able to have livestock I'd get guardian dogs for my guardian dogs and then more dogs for those dogs but I love watching your videos

It is absolutely gorgeous piece. I’d worry about them poking out their own eyes. Gorgeous gorgeous dogs.

If you don’t have wolves or mountain lions don’t really need the spike collar especially if you have a pack of dogs

spiked collars are fantastic for single watch dogs, but yea you get two dogs wearing them, thats a problem, the leather collar is the best. finally someone understands, they are not the full solution

in Thier homeland wolfs attack in group sometimes 7 or more so it's hard to have 10 dogs and sometimes dog find itself alone against wolfs

Can you do a video sometime about the layers of protection you use for stock? I assumed the dogs were more a deterrent that could step in if need be.

☆𝐹𝑟𝑒𝑦𝑗𝑎 𝑅ℎ𝑒𝑖𝑎☆ :
the reason I now will always use flat collars is being My GSD was sneak attacked by a crackhead neighbor's Ex. Fighting dog. Went straight for her throat. he missed the first bite, grabbed the collar, ripped it off, but after that couldn't get a good bite on her throat, she just needed stitches to re-adhere the flesh to tissue on the side of her throat. It was a thick sunflower one, and now she has a thick red tactical collar.
