It’s odd that it’s on different cylinders. I’d be inspecting the cam regardless I think if you pull the valley pan you might be able to see the lobes

Melody :
When the pushrod is bent, the lifter has extended. Cam is likely damaged. Do a full delete with an aftermarket cam and lifters. New oil pump for good measure.

pull the intake on the older ones you can see part of the cam lobes maybe you will get lucky and it's your cylinder and you can see if lobe is damaged

If he’s staying stock build then ensure GM lifters go in. Been burnt by aftermarket rubbish before. Check that cam lobe.

I’ve done 2 sets of lifters on a Hemi in 8000km. Aftermarket lifters. I warrantied both and finally got OEM, prob solved. I get it’s not GM, bad parts

AFM delete using software only is not a guarantee, the lifters can still fail mechanically.

That’s a normal amount of oil. Seems like it’s not enough, but it’s normal.

Current gm tech and heavy line tech, I 100% disagree that is not enough oil while cranking. Yea they do not push old SBC volume, but that naw seems low volume oil to me on all but that 1 😳

Wow. On an older car I would tell you that a valve guide is heating up and seizing up causing a bent pushrod.

lifter shit the bed. once in a while a cam bearing will move and loose oiling. if you have a loose rocker ,try longer pushrod, not adjustable.

Had the collapsed afm lifters, replaced with all new afm lifter, vlom, and still ticked like yours. No bent pushrods. Had to finally swap ls7/cam.

I would do a full delete with lifters and cam. That vlom can be bad, I hate that they ruined a great engine.

oldguy097 :
I wouldn’t think bent push rods would have anything to do with oiling, that’s a cam lifter push rod issue. Oil, compare to other side.

Cole Tanner :
that's a normal ammt of oil? don't these have issues with the bypass valve in the oil pan? could that possibly be causing an oiling issue leading to pushrod/lifter damage?

if he just did the tune it doesn't fix it you have to do the mechanical delete as well get rid of all afm parts only fix to it
