Getting tattooed in Europe vs. the U.S. has definitely felt different to me 👀 1. In Europe, the process often feels a little slower and more artful. Artists seem more comfortable taking their time, while in the U.S. a lot of tattooers are trained to work very efficiently and move fast. 2. There also seems to be more of a “this is what I drew for you” approach in Europe. In the States, I feel like there’s often more back and forth, sitting down together, making changes, redrawing things, and fine tuning the design before starting. 3. And even though tattoo shops and artists have been incredibly friendly and welcoming everywhere I’ve traveled, European tattoo sessions have definitely had less of that nonstop barbershop style chitchat during the tattoo 😂 Not saying one is better than the other at all.
