Yes the ma’am is generally age neutral, but I won’t lie I saw a sharp uptick of getting ma’amed when I entered my 20’s.

I like it, where I'm from ma'am is used for anyone who's not a smallish child. u start getting ma'am instead of miss around 16ish, solidly by 18
