I find shoes such a struggle with trail runners. Fit is huge but I can't find a happy shoe, but my Go to are Arcteryx but they're a bit narrow. I don't love zero drop of Altra due to achilles injuries

Great info. Thanks for sharing. Currently in Brooks that I think are a half size smaller for longer runs. Changing to Vomeros soon, I’ll see up an entire size this time!

Just bought a pair of Nike Vomero 18s and I’m not sure if the fit is correct. They feel a bit tight/snug over the top of my foot (instep/upper area), but not really tight in length. I usually wear On Cloudtilts for gym and walking, so I don’t know if I’m just not used to how real running shoes are supposed to fit. Length-wise, I still have around half to maybe 70% of a thumb’s width between my big toe and the front of the shoe, and I can move my toes a bit. The pressure is mostly on the upper/top of the foot. Do you think this is normal for a performance running shoe like the Vomero 18, or does it sound like I should’ve gone half a size up?

My shoes aren’t too small but somehow I’m getting blisters from about 6km in just on the ball of my foot before my arch, wondering does that mean they’re too wide?

I went to a very reputable running store to get fit, had lots of issues. Went to a podiatrist, they put me in wrong size shoes! 😫
