@_bookofelie: The South of Nick’s (Laguna Beach, CA) BEAN AND CHEESE BURRITOS, and they have multiple! Ordered the trio tower of bean and cheeses off the kids menu (they need some haggling to order these if you don’t come with a child), and the adult bean and cheese. Additionally, ordered the Mexican Pizza, birria enchiladas, the Cabo shrimp, and the carne Nortena (must), which comes with sliced steak adobo, Molé chicken enchilada and a mini chimichanga (a deep fried kids bean and cheese). Brought my friends Steve Bramucci and @Le Chev after beating them in some rainy day Laguna Beach pickleball, and because I respect their Laguna Beach food recommendations. Nick’s is normally known for their more expensive views and tasty dishes, so it was great to see their open kitchen making a bean and cheese — and a very very solid one at that. As you can see, extremely lush lard-y beans, incredible melt point on the cheese and a tortilla that literally busted at the seams. Also when you go, don’t be shy, tell them to bring out all the salsas and hot sauces they have. Trying to do the high/low on the bean and cheese burrito journey…where are the high end restaurants serving beans and cheeses?? LMK below 🤝🎄💕🫡👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽
