Known as one of Scotland's most beautiful, remote, and "lonely" glens, it is a designated National Scenic Area characterized by a narrow, single-track road running along the River Lyon, surrounded by high mountains, steep sides, and ancient, untracked woods. Key Aspects of Glen Lyon: Location & Access: Situated in Perthshire, it runs from Bridge of Balgie/Fortingall in the east to Loch Lyon in the west. It is accessed by a single-track road described as "lonely and lovely".
