simply wasn't worth the headache of redecorating and fixing issues after Tennants leave then trying to recover the costs from them for damage and other things, that's why we sold up.

Landlords do the bare minimum on upkeep and have made a fortune. Some , millions of pounds on houses secured on the previous property. There's lots of dodgy dealings with unscrupulous landlords too.

I’m a mortgage broker and a lot of my landlord clients have sold up, a few have sold to sitting tennants though with a deposit gift so some people have got on the ladder this way

However it seems large corps are buying BTL offloads in non-mortgages loans or other asset securities not individuals so its not changed anything other than created a smaller owner base.
