I always gave Peanuts the context of when it was created. I always thought Charlie had one of those close cuts with a little tuft in the front.

Charles Schultz had said that it was based on the haircut his father gave him, which was a super short buzz cut with just a tuft in the front.

The original Spider-Man costume was just a poor stylistic choice. Had they used much darker blue highlights & included highlights on the red it would've been obvious🤷♂️

i feel like the single black hair could have been less horrible in adaptation if the outlines of the hair were smoother (less squiggle) while maintaining the curl if that makes sense
