mixing isn't even necessary...it's nature, let it do its thing. I did this in a pit in my backyard and the soil was black gold and my plants were like on steriods

we turn it to speed it up also adding lime to sweeten and help the micro organisms grow in turn feeds the plants I know ur way is fine too, 🙂

mine has A LOT of chicken poop..prob mostly poop really..is that ok?? grass clippings and some leaves/wood chips..but most poop!

We have done this and no matter what we do. We sue it. WEEDS grow up. And under the black plastic too! Also years of our horse manure too.
