my neighbor'd parents live right across the street from her and they are all the time going back and forth, meanwhile, if I don't take my kids to see my parents, they never would see them. a tad jelly

So much this!! Most of my friends have grandparents who take their kids 1-2 days per week. We have us and ourselves. It makes a world of difference!
