When I lived in Houston there was a car service for kids. Not a bus, but a private company that would take your kid to school and home or wherever.

my dad made me use uber to get to work all the time when i was 16/17 and my manager started giving me rides because they didn’t like the fact that i was a child in a randoms car 😭

As a ride share driver I’ve had to take 3-4 elementary schools kids at the same time without an adult and I always report it in the app.
