I've noticed "gundam markers crack olastic" usually in response to talking about Tamiya cracking plastic

They only crack ABS plastic because I believe they are oil based paint. The runners usually say if they are ABS.

he's more than likely talking about the gundam pour pens for lining. those will eat the plastic.

the only Gundam markers that can "POTENTIALLY" damage your kits in any way are pour type panel lining markers.

I used a metallic one for the inner frame of a rg exia and it broke the elbow joints on both arms. I'm not sure if it's the age of the kit(bought it at hobby lobby) or something else.

The only damage to plastic I’ve heard about them was on the joints or the softer Polycap plastic, good to know they don’t damage the plastic at all

it's actually quite the opposite, it's accent like tamiya that cracked plastic. this is why its suggested to top coat your kit before panel lining using accents

pour only pour type Gundam markers crack plastic but only if you use too much in the one spot. I had a piece crack the other day from a pour type
