✋🛑 Unpopular Opinion: Look, I've been thinking about this whole jazz/improvisation thing. If you really want to get good at it, you're gonna need to practice way more than most people think. Like 2-4 hours a day, every day - minimum. For more than a year or two.. Now I'm not saying that to scare you off.. I'm saying it because there's something magical that happens when you commit to this level of practice. You need dedicated time for improvisation work. There are some real shortcuts - like learning licks and analyzing them. We're trying to learn a language, not reinvent it from scratch. Modeling or TRANSCRIBING artists you love - that's how you build your musical vocabulary fast. But here's where it gets exciting - even with these shortcuts, there's still another level waiting for you. Real improv is when you can take all that vocabulary and use it to play what's actually going on in your head - the music you're hearing inside. Imagine being able to think a melody and have it flow directly through your instrument. No hesitation, no searching for notes.. Getting to that point takes time. I'm talking years of serious practice. But here's what I know for sure - every single hour you put in gets you closer to that moment when you can just IMPROVISE without overthinking it. So how do you get there? It starts with building a solid daily practice routine... And if ypu want my DAILY ROUTINE folder, just comment : DAILY ROUTINE 👇
