I mean my father works in IT with a bachelors in philosophy. I don’t think the degree itself is really the problem. There’s options if you are creative

in UK uni used to be free, now have pay in part (not anyway near usa $) the idea to focus on courses that hav an ROI! that not worked as students just select those with the fewest class room hours 😁
