Located just 1.5 hours from the Mediterranean coast, it lies within the Sierra Nevada National Park. The road to the resort winds through a stunning, lush landscape, making the journey fly by. As you ascend the narrow serpentine road leading to the resort, a breathtaking bird's-eye view opens up of Embalse de Canales lake and the vibrant pink blossoms of Cercis trees, also known as the "tree of love." Nothing hints at snow—until you reach the final stretch, leading you straight into the resort’s underground parking. Sierra Nevada boasts 110 kilometers of slopes with a maximum altitude of 3,398 meters. There are no black runs—mostly red and blue slopes, along with a snow park and night skiing. If you're a beginner, you can comfortably stay for a week or more. If you're an experienced skier or snowboarder, a couple of days should be enough—but the resort and its surroundings are absolutely worth visiting. Andalusia truly impressed me! P.S. On the serpentine road, you'll come across local farmers selling their honey—a must-try!
