You did it over all corrected except boil the water (even in microwave) in a cup first and then pour it into your moka pot- it prevents burnt taste

I would go buy a couple of sheets of plywood so you can have temporary countertops. Helps so much for cooking

It’s called a moka pot. You can make coffee in it just fine also espresso.
