I have been on both sides of the spectrum and can honestly say they are fair. You are made aware of the fees when opening your account. You overdraw, you’re charged.

First time I disagree. REGISTERS are FREE! With online banking apps etc. YOU can monitor your account 24/7.

I’m a branch manager and Fee Retention can be a large part of overall Branch Profitability, however I 100% agree annoying for both!

They choose to have it. Our system automatically waives the first fee so any after that is on the member. If I waive it, I opt them out of protection

My bank doesn't charge personal accounts OD fees anymore only business accts, but when we did, we didn't charge it unless the item was $20 or more 💚💚💚

I refund fees all the time! But I am definitely more inclined to want to refund those fees if you’re nice 😅

The people who use it mostly are on a limited income. Either have a very small overdraft limit or no overdraft.

Overdraft fees usually are 5$ i would rather oay 5$ than a 50$ returned cheque for insufficient funds which actually goes on your credit bureau
