personally I think it's the same concept even with an "ah" noise. it's a loud sudden noise that snaps their attention away from what they were doing.

lol I used to put some rocks or pennies in a plastic bottle n hide it behind me.. When my Great Pyarne used to nip, I shook it 🤣 n it worked 😉
