@motomedicyyc: How to use a motorcycle cable lubing tool. (I need more practice) For the last several years I've been using this cheap generic cable lubing tool. It got the job done, but it was sloppy and it wasted allot of lube. The seal wasn't very good no matter how much I tightened it. I've been wanting to try out this new motion pro version of the cable lube tool. Today I bought one. This video is the first impressions and tests of the new tool. The first cable didn't seal too well. It leaked out of the tool. Turns out I didn't tighten the tool well enough to create a good seal. The second two cables, I made sure to tighten the tool properly, and it sealed great. Threaded cable ends always leak (from regular cable lube tools). Best option is to lube them from a standard cable end. Unfortunately not all cables have that option. Many bikes have threads on one or both ends of the cables. So I tested it out, and it worked so well, the tool held pressure despite the threads, and it made a mess. Disclaimer: There are many different kinds of cables, and many different cable ends. This tool may not work on absolutely everything. This is a short video of first impressions and testing a new tool. This is not a complete and total guide on everything cables. Also, many bikes have ride by wire throttle systems, and hydraulic clutches. I purchased this tool with my own money. This is not an ad, I have no affiliate links to get this tool.
