@fromnewenglandwithkids: We’ve explored so many amazing spots this year, it was hard picking just 6, but these were definitely some of our absolute favorites. What would you add? What are some of your favorite spots to explore in MA? 📍Purgatory Chasm 198 Purgatory Rd, Sutton, MA The chasm runs for a quarter mile between granite walls rising as high as 70 feet. It’s believed to have its origin in the sudden release of dammed-up glacial meltwater near the end of the last Ice Age, approximately 14,000-19,000 years ago 🤯 📍Bass Hole Boardwalk Off Center Street, Yarmouth Port, MA This quarter mile boardwalk extends out over the marsh. When the tide is out you walk over marshlands and can see crabs scurrying around, and when the tide is in you are walking over water. It is a hidden gem, and a beautiful spot for catching a sunrise or sunset. 📍Dinosaur Footprints Route 5, Holyoke, MA You can see and touch real dinosaur footprint fossils from 200 million years ago at Dinosaur Footprints in Holyoke, MA! This Trustees property features the first dinosaur prints ever scientifically described. Paleontologists believe the prints were left by some of the earliest known dinosaurs, from small plant-eaters to large meat-eaters up to 20 feet long. 📍New England Peace Pagoda 100 Cave Hill Rd, Leverett, MA Built entirely by volunteer labor, the Peace Pagoda was inaugurated in 1985, and is one of only 80 Peace Pagoda’s worldwide. The New England Peace Pagoda is a place for people of all faiths and backgrounds to come together in peace. 📍Spectacle Island One of the Boston Harbor Islands that is about 4 miles offshore. Take a 30-minute ferry ride from Long Wharf and enjoy a day hiking and swimming on the island with fantastic views of Boston. 📍Halibut Point State Park Gott Ave, Rockport, MA An old granite quarry that butts up to the Rockport shoreline. The quarry is now filled with ground water, and has beautiful trails and exciting tidal pools in Halibut Point Reservation (which is another @The Trustees property) #exploremassachusetts #purgatorychasm #bassholeboardwalk #newenglandpeacepagoda #spectacleisland #halibutpointstatepark #dinosaurfootprints

Never heard of Bass Hole. I’ve been there a million times and always called it greys. But if you google it. It does say Bass Hole
