A mentor always Asked my what I had tried before and then showed me where to find a solution. I use the same technique if some new intern need help I have no clue.

Interns should honestly ask more “should” questions. You can’t Google which library version works best with an codebase. You can’t expect them to figure out things architecture had 5 meetings about.
