@jamesmrsaa: 2023 had it all. Travel, connection, growth, love, loss, lessons, adventure, friendship, happiness, sadness. It was probably one of the most emotional rollercoaster years I’ve had where the highs were extremely high, but the lows were extremely low. Looking back though I can appreciate it all, because ultimately it was what led me to become the version of me that is sitting here writing this. I learnt how to be vulnerable, truly vulnerable. I learnt what it meant to feel, and not just feel the good stuff but to feel the bad too. I learnt once more what darkness felt like. It was here I discovered that the dark inside of us in fact can attract the dark in someone else, and in the right space it can feel like light between two people. This was a beautiful feeling I won’t ever forget. I discovered what a safe space feels like, what it feels to be loved, seen and heard. Ironically I also learnt what the opposite of those feel like too. I learnt how to drop in on myself, I learnt what my triggers were and when I would try to runaway. I learnt what habits I was doing that made me someone I was proud of, I also learnt what I would do that made me someone I wasn’t proud of. I learnt how I can use my vulnerability, to be a strength for others, and likewise how someone else’s was a strength for me. Ultimately, I learnt to appreciate the lows more than anything, because looking back, that’s where all of these lessons were born, and where the foundation for 2024 was set. 2023, thank you ❤️ #newyear #happynewyear #2023recap
