And even when those sensations start to fade, the fear of them coming back? That fear is real too. Your body remembers, even when the physical symptoms aren’t as strong. The fear lingers, the what-if’s, the worry that it might happen again. The sense that you’re not fully safe yet. This is the part that’s hard to explain to anyone who hasn’t felt it, It’s not just in your head. It’s your nervous system reacting in ways you can’t control. It’s your body holding onto the fight-or-flight, even after the danger has passed.  Just because you’re still afraid doesn’t mean you’re not healing. You may not feel those sensations as strongly anymore, but the fear of them can still linger, and that’s okay. It’s part of the process. You’re not weak for feeling that fear. You’re just human, doing your best to navigate a body and mind that have been through a lot. You are strong. Even when it doesn’t feel like it. Every moment you keep going, every time you face that fear and still move forward, you’re showing incredible resilience. You’ve made it through so much already.
