If you’re heading to Fort William (where you’ll find Ben Nevis) and driving from Glasgow, here are 7 stops that we did all in one day on our drive up there! 1. Buchanan Castle 🏰 This is a BEAUTIFUL castle, completely reclaimed by nature! Located in the middle of residential homes, you can walk all the way around! Postcode: G63 0HX 2. Kilchurn Castle 🏰 This castle is right at the top of Lock Awe and has some Stella views, there was a field of highland cows as well just before (but it’s a bit of a tourist trap) not my fave but still a beautiful spot to stop and stretch your legs with dramatic views. Postcode: PA33 1AF 3. Glen Etive (Skyfall filming location) ⛰️ Either way if you’re a James Bond fan or not, the views of this valley are sublime. If you’ve seen skyfall you’ll recognise the drive instantly, and it truly is a sick location. It’s single track road but had no problems, just a lot of letting cars pass! Postcode: PH49 4JA 4. Wee White House Glencoe 🏠 This one is a bit of a 30 second stop on the way, it’s a really really beautiful postcard and epic to see such a house dwarfed by the mega mountains around it! Postcode: PH49 4HX 5. Swimming in Ben Nevis 🌊 I LOVED this spot, we actually just stopped off on the way up to number 6! But this water is FREEEEZING but an insane spot! Even has some jumping spots off ledges and trees if you wanna do some flips! Cold water swimming is dangerous so never do it alone and only do it if you’re used to it, a dip ain’t worth your life baby! Postcode: PH33 6SZ (paddy’s bridge) 6. Steall Waterfall 💦 This one’s an absolute must, found on the far side of Ben Nevis the stealll waterfall is MASSIVE. You’ll park the car park and hike for a good half an hour to the falls where you’ll traverse the steel cable bridge (there is another way through a river if you a lil bitch tho) to take you underneath the giant falls! Park at: PH33 6SY 7. Harry Potter Bridge (Glenfinnan viaduct) 🚂 This one’s for your inner child! Magical to see even if we all agree that JK Rowling is an absolute abomination of a human. Postcode: PH37 4LT #Scotland #scotlandroadtrip #bennevis
