I’m a midwife and wanted to say that you have such a comprehensive understanding of what happened and the reasons why clinical decisions were made. Keep debriefing, talk to a birth trauma counsellor.

Sitting here sobbing! As a Mum who also had to ask a nurse “is my baby going to die” I felt your panic & fear completely. I hope you’re okay 🫶🏻

Yes same thing happened to me. Rushed to the theatre room, so many people around. Holding the cord in. Almost lost our baby. He was not breathing at birth. They knocked me out and I woke up rememberin

I also had a traumatic birth with mine coming 2 months early. Best thing I ever did was get a mental health care plan and saw a psychologist specialising in birth trauma. Sending love mumma xx

They thought my first was a placenta abruption at 34wks, cat1 emergency c section. Luckily everything was fine, but it’s so scary. I was alone too.

If I could go back in time following my emergency c section for my first born, would be to have therapy regarding the birth and subsequent pnd
